When is the race?

The Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016.

How do I enter?

The only way to enter is online. Payment method for online entries is credit or debit card or PayPal. Payments made via credit or debit card will incur a 1.50% surcharge, any payments made via PayPal will not incur the surcharge. If you do not have a credit or debit card, Australia Post provides a prepaid card service, please visit your nearest post office for details.

Take care with your entry as we cannot change your start group after your registration is completed.

The SMH Half Marathon is currently developing a new online registration system with The Realbuzz Group. Please bear with us as we update our technology to enhance the user experience.

We collect personal data such as your contact, demographic, delivery and billing information for the purposes of administration and/or identification in relation to attending events, entering Fairfax competitions or promotions, and to display personalised content and advertsing. Who can enter?

Anyone over 12 years of age can enter as long as they are fit enough to complete the race in the allowed times. Please assign yourself to the appropriate group based on your ability.

No strollers, pets, bicycles, scooters, hand cycles, skateboards or rollerblades are permitted.

Those with non-racing wheelchairs are requested to start from the back of the pack for safety reasons. 

How do I collect my race bib?

All participants are required collect their race bib from the expo. Please be sure to bring a copy of your eTicket or SMS on your mobile device to make the process as quick as possible. If you are for any reason unable to attend, a friend or family member can collect on your behalf. They will need to provide your eTicket or SMS to do so, to print out a copy of your eTicket, log in to your members here.
